Our History
Established in 2006, the Walton Architects team bring together a wide range of experience and expertise shaping the built form across all aspects of the design and property industry.

A Light & thoughtful touch
Sustainable design has many facets from building orientation and layout to material selections and incorporation of technology, but a truly sustainable approach encompasses far more than just the built form.
How do our buildings sit in their context, do they engage and contribute to the wider community, culture and heritage of the site?
What is the life cycle, adaptability and reuse of the building in future, who are we designing for and how will they change in future?
Each building sector has a different start and end point on the sustainability discussion - We bring over 25 years of award winning innovation and experience to our projects to provide a thoughtful, common sense, cost effective and best fit approach to each project.
Our Community
An important part of Sustainability is being part of our local community, as a Practice we are active members of industry bodies participating in committee’s, awards jury’s and ongoing professional development.
We encourage our team to be an active part of their local community and contribute to our social fabric, our Director leads by example volunteering for Surf Life Saving & Waterpolo Club committees, assisting to foster and develop these community organisations.

Daniel Walton | Director
Registered Architect | B.Arch, MBA
Born on the southern beaches of Sydney with salt on his skin and sand between his toes, Daniel cut his teeth designing inner city Sydney residences and commercial projects along the east coast.
Moving to Perth in 2003, he broadened his experience into larger scale residential, government, hotel and commercial development projects across Australia and Asia.
Whilst moving between his private practice and leading large design & development consultancies, a constant through the last 25 years has been his passion for delivering sustainable innovative design solutions that create value for his clients and their communities alike.
He lives by the mantra that the key to project success is getting the brief and feasibility right at the start, no amount of glitz and glamour make up for poor strategy in the desire to deliver amazing outcomes.
When not happily ensconced at the drawing board, you will find him in, on or under the water somewhere on our glorious WA coast.
